Birth Recovery Stew

A nourishing stew prepared with chicken, vegetables, and herbs, simmered to enhance flavors and support recovery.

Whole Milk (for creaminess)1Cup
Bay Leaf (dried)2Count
Thyme (fresh)1Bunch

Black Pepper (freshly ground)0.5Tsp
Olive Oil (for sautéing)2Tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  4. Add chicken thighs and cook until lightly browned on all sides.
  5. Add sliced carrots, chopped celery, and diced potatoes to the pot.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  7. Add bay leaves and thyme, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove bay leaves and thyme stems from the pot.
  9. Stir in whole milk and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  10. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes, then serve hot.
