Brazilian tumeric chicken

Brazilian turmeric chicken is prepared by marinating chicken with turmeric and spices, then cooking it with onions, garlic, and coconut milk.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix chicken pieces with turmeric powder, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Add marinated chicken to the skillet and cook until the chicken is browned on all sides.
  4. Pour coconut milk into the skillet, stir well, and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and let it cook for 15-20 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
