Veg Momos

Steamed dumplings filled with a mixture of finely chopped vegetables and spices, wrapped in a thin dough.

Ingredients

Cabbage (finely chopped)200Grams
Carrot (grated)100Grams

Soy Sauce (for flavor)2Tbsp
Black Pepper (ground)0.5Tsp
Green Chili (finely chopped)1Count
Oil (for sautéing)1Tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, salt, and water to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic, ginger, and onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add cabbage, carrot, and green chili to the pan. Sauté for 5 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender.
  4. Stir in soy sauce and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  5. Divide the dough into small balls. Roll each ball into a thin circle.
  6. Place a spoonful of vegetable filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold and pleat the edges to seal the momo.
  7. Steam the momos in a steamer for 10-12 minutes until the dough is cooked through.
