Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with melted butter.
  3. Add the sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and stir well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped walnuts if using.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
