Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius and grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with melted butter.
- Add the sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract to the banana mixture and stir well.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
