Hi! I’m Sitara, a chef with a background in globally inspired, seasonal cooking and a deep love for hospitality. I trained in Paris and went on to cook in some of NYC’s top kitchens, including Gramercy Tavern and Nura, where I honed my love for seasonal, flavorful cooking. Now, I create personalized meals and dinner party experiences in your home. My style is globally inspired, ingredient-driven, and always made with care. Whether it’s a laid-back weekday dinner or something special, I’m here to make it delicious (and clean up after, too!).

Line Cook at Gramercy Tavern
Trained with the prep team and became responsible for tavern production. Cross trained on Garde Manger on the colds’ side, and later Fish Apps (entrees) and Garnish (mains) on the hot line working both the AM and PM shifts doing 200+ covers during the busy season.
Sous Chef at Nura
Assisted the Executive Chef in inventory and ordering, kitchen operations and staff training. Responsible for recipe and menu development for brunch. Provided input into the dinner menu and created unique menu items for special events such as Diwali, Mother’s day etc.
Line cook at Nura
Produced high quality dishes in an 80 seat restaurant with an open kitchen, serving 200+ covers on busy nights. Cross trained on various stations – colds, grill and sauté. Promoted to lead line cook in early 2023.
Culinary Intern at Sofitel
Trained in European, Indo-French and Afghan kitchens, learning skills and techniques across a multitude of cuisines.
Chef and operations manager
Curated menus and was the sole chef and operations manager of pop ups set up during college festivals serving Continental, Pan-Asian and Mexican cuisine.
