Fry Bread

Fry bread is a simple dough fried until golden brown, using flour, baking powder, and whole milk.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add the whole milk to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 5 equal portions and shape each into a ball.
  5. Flatten each ball into a disk about 1 centimeter thick.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat until it reaches 180 degrees Celsius.
  7. Carefully place each dough disk into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Remove the fry bread from the oil and drain on paper towels.
