Hamburger Scallop potatoes
Hamburger scallop potatoes are prepared by layering seasoned ground beef with sliced potatoes and a creamy cheese sauce, then baked until golden.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook until the onion is translucent.
- Season the beef mixture with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a roux.
- Gradually whisk in whole milk, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Remove the sauce from heat and stir in grated cheddar cheese until melted.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the cheese sauce.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese sauce.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is golden brown.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
