Asparagus in Butter

Simple preparation of asparagus sautéed in butter with garlic and lemon for a flavorful side dish.

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the trimmed asparagus to the skillet and toss to coat with the butter and garlic.
  4. Cook the asparagus for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but still crisp.
  5. Add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet, and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Toss the asparagus to evenly distribute the lemon and seasoning, then remove from heat.
  7. Transfer the asparagus to a serving dish and serve immediately.
