Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Place the peeled and cubed yams in a large baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, salt, and orange juice. Mix well to create the syrup.
  4. Pour the syrup over the yams, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the yams are tender and the syrup is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
