Candied Yams
Candied yams are prepared by baking yams with a sweet syrup made from brown sugar, butter, and spices.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Place the peeled and cubed yams in a large baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, salt, and orange juice. Mix well to create the syrup.
- Pour the syrup over the yams, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the yams are tender and the syrup is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
