Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
- Add smoked turkey pieces and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in collard greens, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until collard greens are tender.
- Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed before serving.
