Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
  3. Add smoked turkey pieces and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in collard greens, chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
  6. Simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until collard greens are tender.
  7. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed before serving.
