Fried Chicken Dinner

Prepare crispy fried chicken with seasoned flour and buttermilk, served with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Lemon (cut into wedges for serving)1Count

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175 degrees Celsius.
  5. Fry chicken pieces in batches for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain and mash with butter and whole milk.
  7. Steam green beans until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Serve fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, and lemon wedges.
