Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to create a dry rub.
  2. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the beef short ribs, ensuring all sides are coated.
  3. Cover the ribs and let them sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to marinate.
  4. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
  5. In a large oven-safe dish, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the ribs on all sides until browned.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, honey, and minced garlic.
  7. Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
  8. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven.
  9. Bake the ribs for 3 to 4 hours, or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
  10. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the sauce to thicken and caramelize.
  11. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.
