Green Bean Casserole
A baked casserole combining green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy fried onions.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their moisture and begin to brown.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute, then gradually whisk in the whole milk and chicken broth until smooth.
- Add the soy sauce, salt, and black pepper to the sauce, stirring continuously until it thickens.
- Combine the blanched green beans with the mushroom sauce and transfer to a baking dish.
- Top the casserole with fried onions and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
