Shepherd's Pie is a savory dish made by layering seasoned ground lamb with vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes, then baked until golden.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and mash with butter and whole milk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, carrots, and garlic, sauté until softened.
  5. Add ground lamb to the skillet, cook until browned. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  6. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Add peas to the mixture and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish, spread mashed potatoes over the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
