Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine chicken pieces with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Remove chicken from buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dip each piece in beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly with seasoned flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 175 degrees Celsius.
  5. Fry chicken pieces in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot, for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove chicken from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
