Wild Rice
Cook wild rice with mushrooms, onions, and herbs for a flavorful side dish.

Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cook until mushrooms are browned, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the wild rice, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45-50 minutes until rice is tender.
- Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork, stir in chopped parsley, and serve.
Prep
- Rinse and drain wild rice 2 hours before cooking.
