Garlic mushroom fried rice
Garlic mushroom fried rice prepared by stir-frying mushrooms, garlic, and rice with soy sauce and green onions.

Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the rinsed rice and a pinch of salt. Cook until the rice is tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.
- Add the cooked rice to the skillet with the mushrooms and garlic. Stir well to combine.
- Pour in the soy sauce, and add the remaining sesame oil and vegetable oil. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the rice is heated through.
- Add the chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Prep
- Rinse and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes before cooking.
