Chinese BBQ pork (Char Siu)
Char Siu is a Chinese BBQ pork dish made by marinating pork in a sweet and savory sauce, then roasting it to perfection.

Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, sugar, Chinese five spice powder, minced garlic, red food coloring, sesame oil, and rice wine to create the marinade.
- Place the pork shoulder strips in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the pork.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to marinate.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on a wire rack set over a baking tray lined with foil.
- Roast the pork in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Baste the pork with the remaining marinade and continue roasting for another 20-25 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let the pork rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
