Manchurian chilli

Manchurian chilli is a spicy Indo-Chinese dish made by frying and sautéing vegetables and chicken with soy sauce and spices.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour, beaten egg, 2 tbsp soy sauce, and a pinch of salt to form a batter.
  2. Coat the chicken pieces in the batter and set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan and fry the coated chicken pieces until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  4. In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil and sauté minced garlic, ginger, and sliced green chili until fragrant.
  5. Add cubed onions, green and red bell peppers, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the fried chicken pieces to the pan and mix well.
  7. Add the remaining soy sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat the chicken and vegetables evenly.
  8. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
