Soft tofu in oriental sauce

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the ginger and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add the soy sauce, chicken broth, and sugar to the saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  3. Gently add the cubed tofu to the saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Season with white pepper and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
