Chicken Sopas

Chicken Sopas is a comforting Filipino noodle soup made with chicken, pasta, and vegetables, simmered in a creamy broth.

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add the cubed chicken breast to the pot and cook until lightly browned.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the diced carrots and chopped celery to the pot. Continue to simmer for another 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the elbow macaroni and cook until the pasta is al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Add the shredded cabbage and pour in the whole milk. Stir well and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt, black pepper, and fish sauce (if using). Adjust seasoning to taste.
  8. Serve hot in bowls and enjoy your Chicken Sopas.

  • Thaw chicken breast if frozen.
