Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius. Transfer the beef and marinade to a baking dish and cover with foil.
  4. Braise in the oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Remove the beef from the oven and shred using two forks. Mix the shredded beef with the remaining sauce in the dish.
  6. Warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
  7. Assemble the tacos by placing a portion of shredded beef on each tortilla. Top with sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, and optional red chili slices.
  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
