Traditional Pancit

Traditional Pancit is a Filipino noodle dish prepared by stir-frying meat, vegetables, and noodles in a savory sauce.

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken breast and stir-fry until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the shrimp until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining oil to the wok and sauté the minced garlic and sliced onion until fragrant.
  5. Add the julienned carrots, shredded cabbage, and sliced green beans. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked chicken and shrimp to the wok. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and chicken broth. Stir well.
  7. Add the pancit canton noodles to the wok, tossing to coat with the sauce and evenly distribute the ingredients.
  8. Cook until the noodles are tender and have absorbed the sauce, about 5-7 minutes.
  9. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  10. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
