Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, combine gluten-free flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to form a pizza base.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread tomato sauce over the base.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese, pepperoni slices, bell pepper, and onion.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
