Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti until al dente, according to package instructions.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until golden brown, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the red chili flakes to the pan and stir for about 30 seconds to release their flavor.
- Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan with the garlic and chili flakes.
- Toss the spaghetti in the garlic oil, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a light sauce.
- Stir in the chopped parsley and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Serve the pasta hot, topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese.
