Gnocchi Bake in Tomato Sauce

Prepare a baked gnocchi dish with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and fresh basil using a simple oven-baking method.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the gnocchi according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add tomato sauce to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked gnocchi to the tomato sauce and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Transfer the gnocchi and sauce mixture to a baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated parmesan cheese evenly over the gnocchi.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
