Pasta alla Vodka
Pasta alla Vodka is a creamy tomato-based pasta dish made with vodka, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese, cooked with penne pasta.

Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the vodka and let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to allow the alcohol to evaporate.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the cooked penne pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Stir in the grated parmesan cheese and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil before serving.
