Pasta with Marinara Sauce
Prepare pasta with a homemade marinara sauce using fresh tomatoes, garlic, and herbs, served over cooked spaghetti.

Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the saucepan and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped tomatoes to the saucepan. Stir in the dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in the torn basil leaves and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the cooked spaghetti topped with the marinara sauce and sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
