Gyudon
Gyudon is a Japanese beef bowl prepared by simmering thinly sliced beef and onions in a savory-sweet sauce, served over rice.

Instructions
- In a pot, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, and dashi stock. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions to the pot and simmer until they become translucent.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the pot and cook until the beef is tender and cooked through.
- Serve the beef and onion mixture over bowls of cooked rice.
- Garnish with pickled ginger and sliced green onions before serving.
Prep
- Prepare dashi stock in advance if not using instant dashi.
- Cook Japanese short-grain rice ahead of time.
