Nikujaga
Nikujaga is a Japanese dish made by simmering beef, potatoes, and onions in a sweet and savory broth.

Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become translucent.
- Add the sliced beef to the pot and cook until it is browned.
- Add the potatoes and carrots to the pot and stir to combine.
- Pour in the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
- Simmer for about 20 minutes or until the potatoes and carrots are tender.
- Add the green peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
