Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they become translucent.
  3. Add the sliced beef to the pot and cook until it is browned.
  4. Add the potatoes and carrots to the pot and stir to combine.
  5. Pour in the dashi stock, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Stir well.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pot.
  7. Simmer for about 20 minutes or until the potatoes and carrots are tender.
  8. Add the green peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve hot.
