Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.
  3. Transfer the apple mixture into a baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  4. In another bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, rolled oats, and brown sugar for the crumble topping.
  5. Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use your fingers to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
