Afghan kabob

Afghan kabob is prepared by marinating and grilling spiced ground beef skewers, served with naan or rice.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Add plain yogurt, lemon juice, chopped cilantro, and chopped mint to the beef mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to marinate.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Shape the marinated beef mixture into long, thin kebabs around metal skewers.
  6. Brush the kebabs with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  7. Grill the kebabs for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and have a nice char.
  8. Serve the Afghan kabobs hot with naan or rice.

Prep

  • Marinate the beef mixture for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
