Lard with Minced Turkey

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Add the minced turkey to the skillet, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the lard, allowing it to melt and coat the turkey.
  5. Mix in the tomato paste, chicken broth, salt, black pepper, paprika, thyme, and bay leaf.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove the bay leaf before serving.

Prep

  • Thaw minced turkey in the refrigerator overnight if frozen.
