Tabbouleh

Tabbouleh is a fresh salad made by mixing bulgur, parsley, mint, tomatoes, and onions with olive oil and lemon juice.

Instructions

  1. Place the bulgur in a large bowl and pour the boiling water over it. Cover and let it soak for 20 minutes until the water is absorbed.
  2. Fluff the soaked bulgur with a fork and let it cool to room temperature.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, cucumber, and green onions.
  4. Add the cooled bulgur to the vegetable mixture and mix well.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Pour the dressing over the bulgur and vegetable mixture and toss to combine thoroughly.
  7. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Prep

  • Soak bulgur in boiling water for 20 minutes before starting the preparation.
