Carne Asada

Grilled marinated beef steak served with lime and cilantro, prepared by marinating and grilling the meat to perfection.

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeno, black pepper, cumin, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill to high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature.
  4. Grill the steak for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until it reaches the desired level of doneness.
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Slice the steak thinly against the grain and serve with additional lime wedges and chopped cilantro if desired.

Prep

  • Marinate the steak for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
