Cheese Quesadillas

Prepare cheese quesadillas using tortillas and a blend of cheeses, cooked on a skillet until golden and melted.

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each tortilla.
  3. Place one tortilla, buttered side down, onto the skillet.
  4. Sprinkle a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the tortilla.
  5. Add sliced jalapenos, chopped green onions, and cilantro on top of the cheese.
  6. Place another tortilla on top, buttered side up.
  7. Cook until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese begins to melt, about 3-4 minutes.
  8. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  9. Remove from the skillet and let it cool slightly before cutting into wedges.
  10. Serve with sour cream and salsa on the side.
