Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine pork, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, and peppercorns. Mix well and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add the marinated pork and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour in the marinade and add water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until pork is tender.
- Adjust seasoning with sugar, salt, or additional soy sauce if needed. Continue to simmer until sauce is slightly thickened.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
