Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Add smoked turkey pieces and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, bring to a simmer.
  5. Add collard greens to the pot, stirring to combine with the liquid.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Cover the pot and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until greens are tender.
  8. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve warm.
