Aloo Paratha

Aloo Paratha is an Indian flatbread stuffed with a spiced potato filling, prepared by kneading dough, rolling, stuffing, and cooking on a griddle.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour with water and a pinch of salt to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, combine mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chili, coriander leaves, grated ginger, cumin seeds, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  4. Flatten a dough ball, place a portion of the potato mixture in the center, and fold the edges over to seal.
  5. Gently roll the stuffed dough ball into a flat disc, ensuring the filling does not spill out.
  6. Heat a griddle over medium heat and cook the paratha, applying ghee on both sides, until golden brown.
  7. Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
