Bhindi Fry

Bhindi Fry is a simple Indian dish made by stir-frying okra with spices and onions.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic and slit green chilies, sauté for another minute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Add sliced okra and stir well to coat with the spices. Cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the okra is tender and cooked through.
  7. Once the okra is cooked, add lemon juice and mix well.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
