Bread Pakora

Bread Pakora is a deep-fried snack made by dipping bread slices in a spiced chickpea flour batter and frying until golden brown.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, water, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to form a smooth batter.
  2. In another bowl, combine mashed potatoes, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, and coriander leaves. Mix well.
  3. Spread the potato mixture evenly on one slice of bread and cover with another slice to make a sandwich.
  4. Cut each sandwich into two triangles.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Dip each bread triangle into the chickpea flour batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  7. Carefully place the coated bread triangles into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.

Prep

  • Boil and mash potatoes 1 hour in advance.
