Dudhi Thepla

Dudhi Thepla is a spiced Indian flatbread made with grated bottle gourd, whole wheat flour, and spices, cooked on a griddle.

Water (as needed for dough)100Ml

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine grated bottle gourd, whole wheat flour, yogurt, chopped coriander leaves, chopped green chili, grated ginger, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the mixture and mix well. Gradually add water as needed to form a soft dough.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.
  4. Flatten each dough ball slightly and roll it out into a thin circle using a rolling pin.
  5. Heat a griddle over medium heat and place the rolled thepla on it.
  6. Cook the thepla on one side until small bubbles appear, then flip it over.
  7. Apply a little oil on the cooked side, flip again, and apply oil on the other side as well.
  8. Cook until both sides are golden brown and cooked through. Repeat with remaining dough balls.
