Gobi Matar

Gobi Matar is a simple Indian curry made by simmering cauliflower and peas in a spiced tomato gravy.

Vegetable Oil3Tbsp
Cilantro (chopped for garnish)1Bunch

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chili. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until oil separates.
  5. Add cauliflower florets and mix well with the masala.
  6. Cover and cook for 10 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add green peas and garam masala. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
