Jeera Aloo

Jeera Aloo is a simple Indian dish prepared by sautéing boiled potatoes with cumin seeds and spices.

Lemon (juiced)1Count

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add slit green chilies and grated ginger, sauté for a minute.
  4. Add boiled and peeled potatoes, cut into cubes.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are well coated with spices.
  7. Turn off the heat and add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Mix gently.
  8. Serve hot as a side dish or with bread.

  • Boil and peel potatoes in advance.
