Kadai Chicken

Kadai Chicken is a spicy Indian dish prepared by stir-frying chicken with bell peppers, onions, and a blend of spices in a wok.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add grated ginger, minced garlic, and slit green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add chicken pieces and cook until they are no longer pink.
  5. Stir in tomato puree, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates.
  6. Add whisked yogurt and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add bell peppers and crushed coriander seeds. Stir-fry for another 5 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala and chopped cilantro. Mix well and cook for 2 more minutes.
  9. Serve hot with rice or naan.

  • Thaw chicken if frozen.
