Saag Paneer

Saag Paneer is a vegetarian dish made by cooking paneer cubes in a spiced spinach sauce, using whole milk dairy products.

Cream (whole milk based)100Milliliters

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chili. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add pureed tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Blend the mixture into a smooth paste using a blender.
  6. Return the spinach paste to the pan, add paneer cubes, and mix well.
  7. Add cream and garam masala. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes on low heat.
  8. Serve hot with rice or bread.

Prep

  • Soak paneer in warm water for 30 minutes to soften.
