Sev Tameta Nu Shaak

Sev Tameta Nu Shaak is a Gujarati curry made with tomatoes and spices, topped with sev. It is cooked in a simple manner using basic spices and ingredients.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and mustard seeds, and let them splutter.
  2. Add chopped onions, green chilies, ginger, and garlic. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Add water and grated jaggery. Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked and the curry thickens.
  6. Turn off the heat and transfer the curry to a serving dish.
  7. Top with sev and garnish with chopped fresh coriander before serving.
