Tawa Chicken

Tawa Chicken is a spicy Indian dish prepared on a flat griddle using marinated chicken, spices, and herbs.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and lemon juice.
  2. Add chicken cubes to the marinade, mix well, and let it marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil and butter on a tawa or flat griddle over medium heat.
  4. Add sliced onions and slit green chilies to the tawa, sauté until onions are golden brown.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  6. Add marinated chicken to the tawa, cook on medium-high heat until chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.

Prep

  • Marinate chicken for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
