Bhindi Masala

Bhindi Masala is a stir-fried dish made with okra, onions, tomatoes, and spices, cooked until tender.

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chilies. Sauté for another minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.
  6. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Add the okra pieces and stir to coat them with the spice mixture.
  8. Cover the pan and cook on low heat until the okra is tender, stirring occasionally.
  9. Once the okra is cooked, add garam masala and mix well.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and serve hot.
