Mutton Pulao

Mutton Pulao is a rice dish prepared by cooking basmati rice with mutton, spices, and herbs in a single pot.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and ghee in a large pot. Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaves, and cumin seeds. Sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes.
  4. Add mutton pieces and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  6. Stir in whisked yogurt and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  7. Add soaked rice and mix gently with the mutton mixture.
  8. Pour in water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until rice and mutton are cooked.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander and mint leaves before serving.

Prep

  • Soak basmati rice for 30 minutes before cooking.
